On January 21st – 23rd, we will be hosting a BB/B/C meet at Loos Natatorium. We will need all of you wonderful volunteers to step up one more time to help us host a great meet. If you were unable to participate in the Haunted Hat meet in October, you now have another chance to contribute to this great team. More details will follow in the next newsletter or through email updates.

Swim-A-Thon 2004
The final report is not in yet from the Swim-A-Thon coordinators, however suffice it to say that due to the outstanding efforts of our swimmers, we have met our fundraising goal and then some! Congratulations to all who worked so hard to coordinate this fundraiser and to those who “pounded the streets” getting sponsors.

2nd Annual Poinsettia Sale
This is the very last call for poinsettia orders. Order forms are available on our website www.dmswim.com. Please click on the link to download order forms. We must have your completed order form/check by Tuesday, November 23rd.
Social News
It’s time once again for our Dallas Mustang Annual Christmas Party! The date of the festivities is Monday, December 13th and it will be held at Loos Natatorium. There will not be practices at any of the other pools. Details are as follows:
- All swimmers come to the Loos pool
- All Groups: Practice 5:30-6:30pm
- Party 6:30-7:30pm
- Bring $3 for pizza
- Bring a dessert to share
- Bring a $10 gift for the gift exchange (girls bring a girl gift, boys bring a boy gift)
- Bring your Christmas cheer to share!!

The following is a list of dates that Loos will be closed entirely to our team practices as both ends of the pool will be utilized to host meets. Swimmers will be able to workout at HP (schedule will be confirmed in a separate email).

Kerr McGee Swim Meet
Many of our swimmers will be participating in the Kerr McGee
Elite Swim meet held in Oklahoma City, OK from December 16 – 19th.
Mook will be putting together a packet for those participating, as this will be
a travel trip. The basic plan is that the trip will cost about $180 per swimmer
and will include hotel and bus transportation. The team hotel is the Hampton
Inn at 1905 S. Merdian,
For parents who are driving to the meet,
DM Tuition Reminders
Quarterly tuition statements are going out for the period of
December - February and are due upon receipt. Billing statements are only
mailed quarterly. Those who opt to pay
monthly are responsible for sending in their tuition payments the 1st of each
month. Any questions regarding your tuition account should be addressed to our
Treasurer,
Please remember the following tuition policies:
- Tuition
is due the first of every month/quarter.
- There
will be a $5.00 per family late fee after the 10th of the month for
non-zero balance accounts.
- Should
you choose to leave the team – it is your responsibility to contact the
treasurer or registration chairman.
(Informing the coach does not fulfill this responsibility!)
- The
swimmer(s) may be barred from swimming and team activities if there is an
aged account balance is excess of 60 days.
- If
there is a problem with your billing, please contact the treasurer.
- Should
circumstances prevent full payment of your tuition, please contact the
president. Scholarships and
alternate payment plans will be addressed on a case by case basis. (Please Note: Lack of communication is
not an option!)
Painless Fundraiser
The Dallas Mustangs is registered with Tom Thumb in its Good Neighbor Program. Please remember to attach our Good Neighbor Number to your Reward Card and Tom Thumb will donate a percentage of the member’s total grocery purchases back to the Dallas Mustangs every time your Reward Card is used! Painless and potentially profitable for our team!
