This
group is designed for swimmers who are not quite ready for competitive
swimming. This is more of a private lesson program designed to prepare the
swimmer for competitive swimming and workouts with the team. Typically
pre-competition swimmers move into one of our Bronze Group programs prior to
competing in a swim meet.
This
is a beginner program designed to help young athletes get a solid base for competitive
swimming. It is focused on swimmers between 6 and 10 years of age. The emphasis
in the RED group is on stroke technique, and training skills. These swimmers
typically workout 2 or 3 nights per week for 1 hour.
This
is a developmental program designed to help middle school and high school
athletes get a solid base for competitive swimming. It is focused on swimmers
between 11 and 18 years of age. The emphasis in the BLUE group is on stroke
technique, training skills, and endurance. These swimmers workout 2 or 3 nights
per week for 1 hour.
The
Red and Blue groups are developmental programs.
The swimmers in these groups may compete in swim meets, but are
encouraged to join the workout groups at Loos or HP as they progress into the
competitive arena of swimming.
This
is a beginner program designed to help young athletes get a solid base for
competitive swimming. The emphasis in the BRONZE group is on stroke technique,
training skills, and how to compete in a race. These swimmers typically workout
2 or 3 nights per week for 1 hour.
This
group is designed for swimmers who are more advanced in their skills and
endurance. The minimum requirements for this group are three "10 &
under BB" times. The emphasis in the SILVER group is the development of a
more versatile swimmer who is skilled in all strokes at various distances. Time
is spent on stroke, start and turn techniques, race strategy, and the endurance
of training. These swimmers typically workout 3 to 5 nights per week and
selected Saturday mornings for up to 1 1/2 hours.
This
group is for the more serious swimmers who want to successfully compete in high
school, regional, or state level competition. The minimum requirements for this
group are three "13-14 BB" times and be age 13 or older. The emphasis
in the GOLD group is a total swim training program, including, but not limited
to, dry land training, nutrition, physiology, psychology, and fine tuning
stroke techniques. These swimmers typically workout 4 to 5 nights per week and
on scheduled Saturday mornings for up to 2 hours.
This
group is made up of the elite swimmers of the club. The emphasis is much the
same as the gold, but more intense and with more yardage. The goal of the
swimmers in this group should be to compete on a National level. These swimmers
typically workout three mornings and five nights during the week, and selected
Saturday mornings for up to 2 1/2 hours.
