MEET RECAPS

ATAC A Meet (Nov 6 – 8)

This early Season “A” meet was held at the CISD Natatorium in Southlake.  We swam well to say the least.  We finished 1st out of 18 teams and had fifty-four Mustangs swimming for us at the meet. Our older kids were still “getting the kinks out” since this is VERY early still for most of them but nevertheless they raced well and more than held their own against all of the top senior programs at the meet.  Forty-three of our fifty-four swimmers recorded at least one best time.  Many of our younger age groupers recorded ALL best times!

Those that are listed below got some hardware and scored points for the team.  Swimmers whose names are in italics were first in at least one of their races. Mustangs Rock!

Allison Arnold (17), Parker Benn (10), Leonidas Blaylock (14), Kate Boyer (12), Mitchell Boyer (14), Claire Brandt (15), Rebecca Brandt (10), Kim Bray (15), Sean Bray (17), Carolina Campbell (10), Devin Compan (16), Caroline Florence (12), Erin Florence (14), Eric Futscher (14), Tiffany Futscher (12), Des Godfrey (17), Emma Gruber (14), Conor Guest (14), Jacey Hodan (16), Greg Hoffman (18), Alex Huff (16), Jacob Hum (10), Alvin Jiang (10), Maddi Mailliard (15), Madeleine Marcos (14), Gordon Montgomery (10), Kenzie Murphy (12), Sam Murphy (15), Lauren Murski (14), Jordan Newman (17), Jeffrey Nichols (15), Alex Ober (11), Alex Robinson (15), Matt Roney (18), Ali Smith (15), Graham Smitham (18), Annelyse Tullier (12), Liam Veazey (16), Jake Watters (14), Keegan Watters (17)

TRS BB Meet (Nov 13 – 15)

Forty-one of our Mustangs traveled out to Grapevine and the 10-laned GISD Natatorium pool to swim in this BB meet.  Although we like that the meets run fast at this pool due to 9 lanes being used, it sure is tough to pick up those times off the board when you are used to seeing only 8 lanes!  It is also hard as a coach to be able to comment on races especially when kids are swimming way across the other side of the pool!  As a team we did so well that only one of our swimmers in the meet did not get at least one best time!  We finished 4th out of 18 teams in the closely contested team race only a few points out of 3rd place.

Congratulations to all the swimmers who swam in the meet.  Those that are listed below scored points for the team in at least one event.  Those whose name is in italics won at least one event at the meet!  You “go” Mustangs!

Parker Benn (10), Mitchell Boyer (14), Abby Cartwright (13), Stephen Cheng (10), Kaitlin Dorey (15), Jon Erickson (15), Benjamin Hurst (10), Jordan Malone (11), Mika Malouf (12), Rebecca Miles (13), Sydney Patterson (15), Whitney Pettijohn (11), Mohit Rao (9), Elijah Recinos (10), Hector Rivera (13), Dana Valelly (11), Felix Van Cauwelaert (9), Jasper Van Cauwelaert (11), JoJo Veazey (13), Elizabeth Wessman (10), Rebecca Wessman (10), William Wessman (11), Anna Wilcox (10), Sophia Wilcox (10)

COPS B/C Meet (Nov 20 – 22)

Our B/C swimmers “made some serious noise” at this COPS hosted meet in Plano.  We finished a strong 3rd place out of 9 teams and had an incredible rate of best times for the team.  Only 2 out of 62 athletes that swam did not get at least one best time and those athletes only swam a couple of events and were very close to their best times as well. Over 75% of the swims were best times.  Not bad for what was for most of these kids their 4th meet of the Season!

Those swimmers who scored points are listed below.  Swimmers who graced the top step of the podium in either the B or C Division are listed in italics.  Super swimming Mustangs!

Sophia Anderson (9), Mason Arhelger (11), Jessica Ball (7), Connor Berry (12), Carson Brockette (6), Micaela Buckland (8), Parker Capron (12), Jordan Carl (11), Brennan Davis (8), Sara Duke (11), Adam Elahmadi (8), Jackson Farmar (8), Julia Helton (8), Nicholas Hemingway (12), Kathleen Hettrick (10), Tyler Hinderliter (8), Malak Hmimy (10), Omar Hmimy (8), Micah Hodges (11), Jonathan Huang (10), Georgia Kelly (9), Brett Landin (9), Sofia Lara (9), Sarah Lewis (12), Zoe McCollum (10), Ishan Mistry (9), Aaron Monroe (12), Caroline North (10), Alex Pan (10), Lilly Pappas (10), Ethan Racine (6), Charlotte Rolfe (12), Gabby Schirmer (10), Olivia Schoenecker (12), Samantha Schoenecker (12), Alex Segal (9), Shauna Seidel (11), Madeline Stevenson (9), Abby Tchoukaleff (8), Issy Tschurr (12), Max Van Cauwelaert (7), Jamie Wander (7), James Welch (11), Shannon Wheeler (12), Bryanna Wilder (7), Alexandra Wolff (7)

COR Classic A Meet (Dec 4 – 6)

This annual affair was again held at the Alfred J. Loos Natatorium and we saw some really strong performances from all our age group and senior swimmers at this meet.  For most of the events in the meet it is a prelim/final meet which of course offers those who swim fast in the morning two opportunities to knock out best times and whatever time standards they are shooting for.  We finished 5th out of a very competitive field of 31 teams.  There were many teams that came from hours away and several came from out of Texas as well.

This was a great, (relatively) early Season meet that gives both age groupers and high school kids alike the opportunity to test the waters and see where they are at this juncture in the Season.  Most of our kids had a couple of days of rest before this meet to give themselves a chance to do something special.  A large group of Mustangs swam in finals every night so they did perform well!

Below is a list of those who scored at this ultra-competitive meet.  Mustangs that finished first in at least one event have their names in italics.  Awesome job Mustangs!

Luke Blaylock (14), Kate Boyer (12), Rebecca Brandt (10), Sean Bray (17), Carolina Campbell (10), Devin Compan (16), Erin Florence (15), Eric Futscher (14), Tiffany Futscher (12), Emma Gruber (14), Conor Guest (14), Alex Huff (16), Jacob Hum (10), Benjamin Hurst (10), Alvin Jiang (11), Meredith Kelly (15), Malin Kenny (17), Maddi Mailliard (15), Alyssa McElya (16), Logan McGill (14), Alison Moffit (17), Natalie Morris (12), Kenzie Murphy (12), Sam Murphy (15), Lauren Murski (14), Jordan Newman (17), Alex Ober (11), Mohit Rao (9), Natalie Rathjen (13), Graham Smitham (18), Ginny Tiernan (10), Annelyse Tullier (12), Felix Van Cauwelaert (9), Liam Veazey (16), Jake Watters (14), Keegan Watters (17), William Wessman (11)

COPS BB Winter Solstice Invite (Dec 11 – 13)

Our BB Mustangs traveled up to Plano and came away with another great team performance.  We finished 4th out of 18 teams not getting any relay points whatsoever (no entries).   Thirty-nine out of forty Mustangs got at least one best time and we knocked out best times in just under 80% of our races in the meet.  Our coaches were pleased with the racing and we saw quite a few Mustang caps winning heats by a bunch!

Those who scored points are listed below.  Winners of at least one event have their name in italics.  Great job to all our Mustang BB Swimmers!

Tate Arhelger (14), Parker Benn (10), Caroline Blaylock (12), Jon Erickson (16), Kendall Ernst (13), Nicholas Hemingway (12), Brian Jiang (9), Morgan Koranda (14), Sydney Lacey (14), Jordan Malone (11), Mika Malouf (12), Connor Mullen (13), Sydney Patterson (15), Whitney Pettijohn (11), Mohit Rao (9), Elijah Recinos (10), Charlotte Rolfe (12), Karina Sell (12), Jasper Van Cauwelaert (11), Jonas Veazey (13), Elizabeth Wessman (10), Rebecca Wessman (10), Shannon Wheeler (12), Anna Wilcox (10), Sophia Wilcox (10), Jono Womack (15), Megan Yancey (12)

18th Annual Elite Pro-Am Swim Meet (Dec 17 – 20)

Our Senior Swimmers ventured up to Oklahoma City just before the Holiday break and got the opportunity to swim another prelim/final meet that was even faster than the COR Classic one was in December in every event.  Historically we do pretty well at this meet and this year was no different.  We walked away with the Woman’s team title and were second overall to the Mission Viejo Natadores.  The meet is held at the fast Oklahoma City Community College pool.  Over the years several American records have been set at this pool.

A “pro” division brings several ex-Olympians to this meet every year and it was great to watch the 50 free “shoot out” and see our Claire Brandt go toe-to-toe with some very big and fast girls.  In the guys race it was awesome to see 50’s under 20 seconds in the semifinal heats!  We walked out with our heads held high again this year and look forward to taking down Mission next year!

We had Forty-three Mustangs who made the trip qualifying for the meet despite pretty tough time standards.  A couple of our kids were hit with sickness and that thinned our ranks a little but those that did make it got after it!  Mustangs that scored points at this “elite” meet are listed below.  Way to go Mustangs!

Allison Arnold (17), Jack Beckwitt (18), Claire Brandt (15), Malin Kenny (17), Madeleine Marcos (14), Alison Moffit (17), Connor Nolan (17), Matt Roney (18), Katie Scarsella (18), Ali Smith (15), Marylyn Toledo (17)

Metro B/C Meet (Dec 18 – 20)

While our National team and top Gold swimmers were away……the B/C swimmers played!  Not really.  Despite quite a few of our kids getting sick (6 or 7) about forty of our B/C swimmers ventured up to Allen and swam at the Don Rhodenbaugh Natatorium.  And no, Mook is no relation to the man they named the Natatorium after!

We finished 4th out of 9 teams and all but 4 of our kids got at least one best time.  As with some of the other B/C meets we have competed in, a few of our B/C kids got ALL best times.  Most excellent job Mustangs!

Below is a list of those who left with some ribbons packed in their bags!

Robert Arends (10), Rachel Becker (11), Carson Brockette (6), Parker Capron (12), Jordan Carl (11), Kristie Cheng (9), Brennan Davis (8), Hannah Dunlap (110, Jacob Heck (7), Paxton Herod (11), Kathleen Hettrick (10), Tyler Hinderliter (8), Georgia Kelly (9), Sarah Lewis (12), Lauren McCaghren (10), Max Moundas (8), Caroline North (10), Alex Pan (10), Katherine Patterson (9), Ethan Racine (6), Craig Rosenbower (8), Gabby Schirmer (10), Olivia Schoenecker (12), Samantha Schoenecker (12), Alex Segal (9), Shauna Seidel (11), Laurel Sell (8), Madeline Stevenson (9), Ginny Tiernan (11), Niamh Tierney (11), Ellory Tippen (12), Issy Tschurr (12), Julia Walsdorf (11), Jamie Wander (7), Kristen Wander (7), Michell Ward (6), James Welch (11), Bryanna Wilder (7), Nathan Young (12)

Frisco New Year BB Invite (Jan 8 – 10)

The Mustangs started out the New Year at this BB meet which was held at the FISD pool in Frisco.  For some reason no points were kept but from the look of the results we swam well as a team. Only 26 of our swimmers participated in this meet so maybe it is a good thing they didn’t keep score!  Twenty-three of the twenty-six Mustangs who swam got at least one best time.

Below is a list of those swimmers who finished in the top 8 in at least one event.  Swimmers who have their name italicized took top honors at least once.   Mustangs are the best!

Jordan Curl (11), Clare Donaldson (12), Kendall Ernst (14), Nicholas Hemingway (12), Benjamin Hurst (10), William Morris (15), Sydney Patterson (15), Whitney Pettijohn (11), Mohit Rao (10), Samantha Schoenecker (12), Rebecca Wessman (10), Shannon Wheeler (12), Sophia Wilcox (10), Megan Yancey (12)

LAC January A Invite (Jan 15 – 17)

January’s first A meet was hosted by LAC at their Colony Pool location.  Sixty-two swimmers splashed their way to a bunch of best times on our way to a 4th place finish out of 17 teams.  We were a scant 2.5 points out of 3rd place!  The meet gave us a chance to test out all that tough training over the Holidays!  From the results of the meet I’d have to say it was a success in all our groups!

The majority of our swimmers had at least one best time.  All 20 twelve and under swimmers had at least one best time and several had all best times!  These swimmers took care of business and finished in the money.  Most impressive Mustangs!

Jack Beckwitt (18), Parker Benn (10), Caroline Blaylock (12), Luke Blaylock (14), Kate Boyer (12), Mitchell Boyer (14), Claire Brandt (15), Rebecca Brandt (10), Sean Bray (17), Carolina Campbell (10), Michelle Chow (41), Erin Florence (15), Eric Futscher (15), Tiffany Futscher (12), Audrey Gruber (13) Emma Gruber (14), Conor Guest (14), Greg Hoffman (18), Alex Huff (16), Jacob Hum (10), Benjamin Hurst (10), Alvin Jiang (11), Mason Kelly (12), Meredith Kelly (15), Caitlin Koranda (16), Maddi Mailliard (15), Alyssa McElya (16), Logan McGill (14), Alison Moffit (17), Kenzie Murphy (12), Lauren Murski (14), Connor Nolan (17), Natalie Rathjen (13), Ali Smith (15), Graham Smitham (18), Marylyn Toledo (18), Annelyse Tullier (13), Liam Veazey (16), Jake Watters (14), William Wessman (12)

TRS B/C Meet (Jan 24)

This meet was held with a unique meet format.  All the events in one day!  It was held at the Grapevine Pool which is a 10-laned monstrosity.  They scored the meet to 10th place and just cranked out the meet as quickly as they could.  As a team we finished 3rd out of 7 teams in what was really just a 3-team race.  The meet was pretty long (almost 6 hours) but at least it was over for everybody in one day!  Apparently the pool was rented out for another event the rest of the weekend.  Well you got to do what you got to do!

Here is the list of those who toughed out the one long day and had some “bling” to show for it.  Sixty-six of our Mustangs liked the format enough to do it!  Way to go Mustangs!

David Andrews (9), Robert Arends (10), Jack Arnold (12), Rachel Becker (11), Connor Berry (12), Catherine Blaylock (8), Laura Brayshaw (12), Carson Brockette (6), Parker Capron (12), Brennan Davis (8), Sara Duke (11), Hannah Dunlap (11), Darby Faust (10), Ian Fitzgerald (10), Megan Fitzgerald (9), Emilee Gant (11), Benjamin Bruber (11), Jacob Heck (7), Tyler Hinderliter (8), Grace Jolas (11), Georgia Kelly (9), Tara Lalvani (11), Brett Landin (9), Sofia Lara (9), Sarah Lewis (12), Rachel Malouf (9), Taylor Mason (11), Zoe McCaghren (10), Ishan Mistry (9), Max Moundas (8), Rachel Myers (12), Arjun Nair (12), Caroline North (10), Alex Pan (10), Olivia Schoenecker (12), Mason Scott (10), Alex Segal (9), Shauna Seidel (12), Laurel Sell (8), Cecelie Smith-Morris (7), Victoria Smith (8), Michael Stanzel (8), Emily Stanzel (9), Madeline Stevenson (9), Ailish Tierney (8), Niamh Tierney (11), Madeline Tovar (11), Maria Tovar (10), Julia Walsdorf (11), Jamie Wander (7), Kristen Wander (7), Mitchell Ward (6), James Welch (11), Colin Wiegand (10), Kennedy Wiegand (8), Ella Witherite (8), Nate Young (12)

ATAC BB Meet (Jan 29 – 31)

This meet was held in The Colony at the school district pool.  It offers decent deck space and somewhat limited seating but most importantly the pool seems to be fast which we really like!  We had thirty kids in the meet and we finished 7th out of the 20 teams that competed.  Any kid on the team that is 13 or over may compete in the BB meets regardless of whether or not they have BB time standards in their respective age group.

We really need more 13 and over kids to participate in these meets.  They are only one time per month!  Over half of the kids that did this meet only did three events or less.  Kind of hard to make up relays for the coaches when so few kids come to the BB meets.  Frankly, as a team we need to do a better job of going to the B/C meets also.  If you are 12 or under and have never swam in a meet that is where you need to be.  Before you enter the water the first time technically you are a “C” swimmer until you prove otherwise.  So the progression on time standards is C, B, BB, and A.

The following swimmers scored points for the team at the meet:

Connor Berry (12), Christopher Collins (16), Patrick Crowling (16), Kendall Ernst (14), Nicholas Hemingway (12), Malak Hmimy (10), Krista Ludowese (14), Sydney Patterson (15), Whitney Pettijohn (11), Mohit Rao (9), Karina Sell (12), Jonas Veazey (13), Rebecca Wessman (10), Anna Wilcox (10), Sophia Wilcox (10)

Greater Southwest  ‘A’ Invitational (Feb 5 – 7)

This version of the GSW meet had a different format.  For the most part, it was a prelim/final meet held at Loos.  The exception was on Sunday which was time finals so that traveling teams could get home earlier that day.  It also happens to be Super Bowl Sunday which (believe it or not) also figured into the decision to make it just a time final session on Sunday.  We finished 6th out of 34 teams and had some great swims against some very strong competition.  Like the December COR Classic meet the competitive GSW meet brings teams out of state and especially out of our LSC to the North Texas Area.

Many of the high school kids on our team either had limited or no participation in the meet due to the timing of their State High School meets but despite that we still were competitive as a team and swam great both on relays and individually.  A little over 50 kids swam in the meet for us and only 4 kids did not get at least one best time.  Below is the list of those who scored points for the Mustangs.  Go team, Go!

Parker Benn (10), Luke Blaylock (14), Kate Boyer (12), Mitchell Boyer (14), Claire Brandt (15), Rebecca Brandt (10), Michelle Chow (41), Caroline Florence (12), Erin Florence (15), Eric Futscher (15), Tiffany Futscher (12), Audrey Gruber (13), Emma Gruber (15), Conor Guest (14), Jacey Hodan (16), Greg Hoffman (18), Jacob Hum (10), Benjamin Hurst (10), Alvin Jiang (11), Mason Kelly (12), Madeleine Marcos (14), Alyssa McElya (16), Logan McGill (14), Natalie Morris (12), Kenzie Murphy (12), Sam Murphy (15), Lauren Murski (14), Jordan Newman (17), Connor Nolan (17), Mohit Rao (9), Adam Rathjen (12), Natalie Rathjen (14), Sheila Salopek (18), Ali Smith (15), Graham Smitham (18), Annelyse Tullier (13), Felix Van Cauwelaert (10), Liam Veazey (16), Jake Watters (14), William Wessman (12)

LAC Valentine B/C Meet (Feb 12 – 14)

Fifty-three of our Mustangs went back to the Colony Pool for yet another meet there over Valentine’s Day weekend.  We had one of our better B/C meets getting a solid 3rd place just 30 pts out of second and squeaked out a 13 point win over COPS.  Only 4 of the 53 who attended did not knock down at least one best time.  Forty of those swimmers had at least 2 best times and some many more!  Needless to say it was a successful meet for the Mustangs!

Swimmers whose names appear below scored points and collected ribbons for their efforts at this meet.  Way to tear up the pool Mustangs!

Sophia Anderson (9), Rachel Becker (11), Parker Capron (12), Jordan Carl (11), Jacob Heck (7), Julia Helton (8), Tyler Hinderliter (8), Grace Jolas (11), Georgia Kelly (9), Tara Lalvani (11), Sofia Lara (9), Sarah Lewis (12), Taylor Mason (11), Boni McVey (12), Ishan Mistry (9), Arjun Nair (12), Caroline North (10), Alex Pan (10), Olivia Schoenecker (12), Samantha Schoenecker (12), Alex Segal (9), Shauna Seidel (12), Laurel Sell (8), Victoria Smith (9), Michael Stanzel (8), Madeline Stevenson (9), Abigail Tchoukaleff (8), Ailish Tierney (8), Niamh Tierney (11), MaxVan Cauwelaert (8), Jamie Wander (7), Kristen Wander (7), Mitchell Ward (6), James Welch (12)

NTN A Champs Meet (Feb 19 – 21)

This meet formerly was called “TAGS Q Meet” since it used to be one of the last chances kids had to qualify for the Texas Age Group Champs or even Sectionals.  We usually don’t swim any relays at this meet so that the kids can focus all their efforts towards their individual swims which hopefully will produce either a time standard goal or a lifetime personal best.  We love relays, but we love even more when kids get a chance to “extend” their Season and go to a higher level championship meet than they have ever gone to before.

This year’s short course A champs was held at the Southlake pool which many of our kids like because it has historically been a fast pool for just about anyone who swims in it.  Fifty-eight of our swimmers helped us to a 4th place finish in the team standings which was great considering that we didn’t even swim one relay event the entire meet. It was a successful meet from a qualifying standpoint.  I can’t remember us picking up so many cuts that we were close to in this meet in the past 10 years.  Impressive efforts gave us impressive results!

Mustangs that placed high enough to score points are listed below.  Way to go Mustangs!

Christopher Alkire (16), Jack Beckwitt (18), Parker Benn (10), Luke Blaylock (14), Kate Boyer (12), Rebecca Brandt (10), Megan Ernst (17), Caroline Florence (12), Eric Futscher (15), Tiffany Futscher (12), Des Godfrey (17), Audrey Gruber (13), Conor Guest (14), Jacob Hum (10), Alvin Jiang (11), Caitlin Koranda (16), Madeleine Marcos (14), Alyssa McElya (16), Logan McGill (14), Natalie Morris (12), Kenzie Murphy (13), Sam Murphy (15), Lauren Murski (14), Jordan Newman (18), Jeffrey Nichols (16), Mohit Rao (9), Adam Rathjen (12), Sheila Salopek (18), Graham Smitham (18), Annelyse Tullier (13), Jake Watters (14), Keegan Watters (17), William Wessman (12)

TRS BB Champs Meet (Feb 26 – 28)

The final BB meet of the short course season still offered the opportunity for a few kids to still qualify for TAGS since it was within the qualifying period.  Four kids took down TAGS individual cuts and two more helped relays qualify by dropping their individual times for add –up qualifying purposes as well.  That in itself would have made the meet a success but there were thirty-two other kids who happened to swim great enough for us to finish 7th out of 19 teams despite losing literally hundreds of points by not swimming any relays.

Only two kids swimming a grand total of three events in the meet out of thirty-eight who competed did not get a best time.  Eighteen kids got a best time in every event they swam (average 6 per person!).  Very nice!

That’s what I’m talking about!  Point scorers are listed below.

Parker Benn (10), Connor Berry (12), Carolina Campbell (11), Abigail Cartwright (13), Clare Donaldson (12), Jon Erickson (16), Kendall Ernst (14), Brian Jiang (9), Pauli Kerr (11), Natalie Morris (12), Alex Ober (11), Sydney Patterson (15), Felix Van Cauwelaert (10), Jasper Van Cauwelaert (11), Jonas Veazey (13), Elizabeth Wessman (10), Rebecca Wessman (10), Shannon Wheeler (13), Anna Wilcox (10), Sophia Wilcox (10), Megan Yancey (13), Max Zotos (13)

LAC B/C Champs Meet (Mar 5 – 7)

This probably was our best B/C meet of the Season.  It was held at The Colony Pool and we had a nice number of kids show up to battle the rest of the North Texas teams for the B/C champs and we finished in 3rd place only 40 points out of 2nd.  Sixty-four of our B/C kids were at the meet and of those only 3 did not get at least one best time.  That makes for a lot of happy campers!  Hopefully the kids are coming to the coaches before and after their races to get tips on how to swim their races and what they could possibly do better the next time they do the race.

We did relays at this meet and it made a big difference but as a team and for each B/C family we still need to think about committing to attend every day of a championship meet to maximize our team’s opportunity for success.  We did have to scratch several relays because kids only showed up for one day of the meet instead of being at both days they were eligible to swim.  Even so, the meet was a huge success and kudos to our Bronze, Silver, and Red Coaches for getting them ready to race!

B/C Championship Scorers are listed below.  Great job guys and girls!  Mustangs Rule!

Jessica Ball (7), Jacqueline Barnett (7), Rachel Becker (11), Catherine Blaylock (8), Jessica Boyer (9), Laura Brayshaw (12), Carson Brockette (7), Parker Capron (12), Tyler Hinderliter (8), Malak Hmimy (11), Omar Hmimy (9), Georgia Kelly (9), Tara Lalvani (11), Brett Landin (9), Sarah Lewis (12), Rachel Malouf (9), Abigail McCutchen (10), Ishan Mistry (9), Andrea Mora (12), Rachel Myers (12), Caroline North (10), Elijah Recinos (11), Alex Segal (9), Shauna Seidel (12), Laurel Sell (9), Michael Stanzel (8), Emily Stanzel (9), Madeline Stevenson (9), Abigail Tchoukaleff (8), Ailish Tierney (8), Niamh Tierney (11), Madeline Tovar (11), Issy Tschurr (12), Max Van Cauwelaert (8), Mitchell Ward (6), Nate Young (12)

Summer Schedule

Due to the unavailability of both Highland Park and Loos this summer, the summer schedule has not yet been finalized.  We are making every attempt at having the schedule resemble previous years.  We will update as soon as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Scheduling Updates

Our primary means of communication is via email.  If you are not receiving team e-mails please contact Donna Watters at vp@dmswim.com.  You can also check our team line at 972.530.SWAM (7926) for last minute scheduling changes.

Tuition Policy

The Dallas Mustangs is a competitive year round age-group swimming program.  As such we strive to provide consistent quality coaching and workout facilities.  To achieve this goal we establish pool rental contracts and salary commitments with our coaching staff for a full 12-month period.  The Dallas Mustangs Swim Team is not, and was not designed to be a swim program where swimmers drop in one month and out the next.  Flexibility has always been important to us.  We try to work with each family on the team and we will continue to do so.

Tuition may be paid annually or monthly.  Monthly Tuition must be paid via  credit card only.  NO checks will be accepted at any pools or through the mail.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Annual tuition may be paid by check submitted with your registration form.

·       Tuition is due from September through July.

·       Leave of Absence (LOA) is available only for injury and medical reasons.

·       There will be a $10.00 per month discount for the second and subsequent swimmers in the same family.  The fourth swimmer is free.

·       If dues are paid annually, there will be a $110.00 discount for the second swimmer and a $220.00 discount for the third swimmer. If there are more than 3 swimmers; the three highest tuition rates will be billed and the 4th and subsequent swimmers are free.

·       A swimmer transferring from another team must be in good standing with their old team.

·       Tuition is due the first of every month. There will be a $5.00 per family late fee after the 10th of the month for non-zero balance accounts.

·       There are no tuition refunds, tuition paid for the month or the year commits you for that period.

·       Written communication to the DM Treasurer is required to change or stop automatic billing.

·       The swimmer(s) may be barred from swimming if there is an aged account balance is excess of 30 days.

Any questions regarding billing should be addressed to the team treasurer via e-mail:   ablaylock@4oceansys.com

Meet Entry Policy:

Meet entry fees will be paid by credit card only.  Your credit card will be charged monthly.  There will be a $1.00 surcharge per meet per swimmer added to the fee.  Meet entry fees will be charged separate from tuition charges.  All swimmers must maintain a current and up to date meet entry account.   Swimmers who do not provide valid credit card information for meet entry fees will not be allowed to enter swim meets.
