Flag for 2005 Long Course TAGS!
Held in Austin, TX – July 20-24, 2005
TAGS is the culminating
championship across
WOW!!! Special recognition to our 13-14 boys for scoring top points and bringing home an incredible FIRST PLACE AGE GROUP meet victory. This accomplishment is a first in Dallas Mustangs team history and was only possible due to the hard work and team efforts of JACK BECKWITT, GREG HOFFMAN, JOHN KENNY, NICHOLAS SALIBA, ANDREW TRAN, CALEB VEAZEY and SCOTT WEEKS!!! The bar has now been raised for future Mustang 13-14 boys… keep up the hard work guys!!!
Congratulations to Caleb Veazey who medaled in 5 individual events among 13-14 boys. This included three first place gold medals in the 400, 800 and 1500 Free. Additional great swims include medals in both the 200 Free and 200 Fly. Caleb included very strong 3rd and anchoring legs for the group Relay wins - - great going Caleb!
Amazing Andrew Tran! Andrew also brought home medals in 5 individual events to include 1st place Gold finishes in the 200 IM and the 200 Fly. Adding to his medals and team points were his 2nd place 400 IM, 3rd place 100 Fly and 4th lace finish in the 200 Breast. Andrew competed in all of the winning Relay events in 1st or 2nd leg positions. Outstanding job Andrew!
Adding to the Girls 11-12 age group point totals was Des Godfrey. Des completed a medal winning finish in the 50 Back. Rounding out her meet were key 3rd leg efforts in the girls Relay Events. Keep it up Des!
Eric Futscher… what a meet! Eric competed in the 10-Under age group and individually brought home medals in the 50 Breast, 200 Free, 400 Free and 50 Free events. Eric also was positioned in the 2nd or anchoring legs for his groups Relay Victories!!
Rounding out our individual team point earnings was Scott Weeks. Scott contributed to DM’s success with medal winning swims in the 13-14 Boys 200 Free and 200 Back. Lets not forget Scotts 3rd position and critical anchoring legs for three 1st place and two 3rd place Relay wins.
