The Dallas Mustangs brought a small but talent laden team to compete at the Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships held in Federal Way, Washington. Representing the Mustangs were Courtney Patterson, Brian "Norm" Stephens, Katie McClelland, Mohamed El Madani, Naoko Imoto, Pat O'Keefe, Martina Moravcova and Ed Wagner. |
The Men's 400 Medley Relay featuring Mohamed, Norm, Pat and Ed scored by finishing 12th in the nation.
The Women had a fantastic meet highlighted by Martina Maravcova sharing individual high-point honors and the 400 Medley Relay team bring home the Gold with a first place finish.
Courtney Patterson led off the relay with a personal best time in the backstroke. Katie McClelland took over for the breaststroke and DM was in 4th after her leg. Martina Moravcova took her turn on the Fly - the Mustangs were now in second. Naoko Imoto cleaned up on the freestyle taking on all remaining challengers.

Naoko Imoto: 5th place 100 Freestyle; 5th place 200 Freestyle
Martina Moravcova: 2nd place 100 Freestyle; 1st place 100 Fly; 1st place 200 Freestyle; 1st place 200 IM
Katie McClelland: 3rd place 100 Breaststroke; 5th place 200 Breaststroke
